Content is King

1) A field/hobby/something that I have a passion for:
  • Lacrosse
  • Fishing
  • Cars
  • Music
2) I usually dont go to blogs and I dont know if any person or companies use blogging to promote their bands or items.  I can see people probably discussing wether or not these products work efficently.
3)A field that i might se myself blogging about is lacrosse to find out about if new products are good or not. For fishing maybe techniques or items that would help me improve my game.

Survival at Sea

In this activity we were given a stituations that were were on a liferaft with a certain amount of materials and we were suppose to rank them from most important to least important by numbering them 1-15.  My top two picks would be the shaving mirror and water for a basic way to communicate for help and to be able to survive for a while.  While my bottom two choices would be the Map of the Pacific Ocean and the small radio because you don't know where you r in the Pacific and the radio only recieves transmissions, but doesn't send them.  My group prioritized that food and water were the most important things because the need to survive.  While the thought the shaving mirror and oil were in the middle or low ranking because they weren't necessary, however I kenw that they could be used as ways for signaling help.  Some things that my group and I ranked similarly was the 20 square feet of plastic sheeting because it can be used as a way to protect yourself for the sun. We worked tegether by picking our top choices and discussing why they were so important. Some of our choices compared to the Coast gaurds choice was way of like the misquito netting and fishing kit because we thought these things could be used to catch food easier. What I would put moe weight in would be experimental data because it tests your theory and actual proves that if it works or not.

tennis ball team building

The challenge of this game was to see which group was the fastest to pass the ball around to every person in the group.  For our first trial we came up with two ideas, the first everyone formed a circle and in alternate order one person put one hand facing up and the next person facing down then handed the ball to from person to person.  The second we formed a circle and put all our hands in the middle facing up then just rolledd the ball around like it was on a track.  After the two groups first competition we added the contsriant that only one person may touch the ball at a time.  So my group came up with rolling the ball down our hands like a ramp or hill.  The next constriant we added was that everyone had to be an arms length apart so my group just formed a circle and just passed the ball around.  Our plans for these constriants did work out well but we just weren't fast enough to beat the other group. So next time what I would have done differently would be make the incline the ball rolled down on the first contriant steeper and for the second constriant just try to pass the ball around faster.  What   i would have kept the same is our second idea for getting the ball around with no constriants.
